Orientation Day 1

Whew! We started this morning at 7:30 with breakfast and ended just now with dinner dishes! It’s been a good, long day of getting to know this organization better for all 24 candidates interested in serving with them in the future.

My interesting fact of the day (one among many) was that Roger Youderian, a friend of Jim Elliot’s, was a member of Gospel Missionary Union. They, along with three missionary friends were killed during an outreach attempt in Ecuador in 1956. GMU is the third oldest US mission, begun in 1892.

I can’t promise regular updates, but we’ll try to keep you informed as we go through these two weeks.

We continue to appreciate and rely on your prayers.
